Men’s 2020/2021 RIDE Bindings at Avie’s Ski/Sports

For the 20/21 season RIDE has revamped their binding line up—the new binding naming convention is:  A designates an aluminum chassis while C designates a chassis made up of composite materials (plastics). The number designation relates to performance/stiffness characteristics with 10 being highest rating. Number designation across the A and C lines are identical in features, or nearly so. Aluminum bindings will have a stiffer feel and give a more immediate response to pressure from the boots and will be more precise and exact. Composite bindings will have a softer feel and will provide a more progressive response to pressure from the boots; some might label this “forgiveness” or being “a little more easy going.” The “L” in the name designation is for “ladies.”

  • A8        $319 Avie’s   The new A-8 binding is designed for all mountain performance—precise and aggressive for the snowboarder that demands the most from their bindings. If you liked the Capo, this is the new RIDE binding for you. The Reversible Ankle Strap provides two riding positions—stiff part of the strap on the top for a more aggressive feel, or swap the straps so the soft part is on top for more flexibility and greater lateral movement.
