Winter Apparel & Accessories

there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothing

Avie’s Ski / Sports offers an extensive collection of apparel and accessories for all seasons, whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, diving, playing tennis, surfing, or stand-up-paddle boarding. The selection of brands is tailored to offer you the best shopping experience possible. Avie’s staff are dedicated to providing outstanding service and making sure that you find what your are looking for. And with Avie’s recent sales floor expansion, there is a larger selection of everything you need or want.

Avie’s now carries SAXX men’s underwear. Incredibly comfortable. Great gift or stocking stuffer. Also great to simply buy them for yourself. You will be happy you tried them. And once you do, you will be back for more.

Another great addition this season are Auclair gloves. You have to see the gloves to appreciate the soft leather, warmth, comfort, and great quality. Traditional ski gloves and mittens, “lifty-style” work gloves and mittens, race gloves, and more. Check out this hot new item.

Winter is, of course, a focus area for apparel at Avie’s Ski / Sports. A broad selection of winter apparel by The North Face provides what you need to protect yourself from the elements while playing outdoors. Stay warm, stay dry. Play hard and long. For 2019, Avie’s Ski / Sports has expanded The North Face line carried in stock. You will find bib-style ski pants, a greater selection of sweater and fleece outerwear, and broader selection of jackets—for both men and women—that are both on-slope and apres-ski appropriate. For instance, Campshire Hoody, Campshire Vest, and Gordon Lyons Hoody for men. For women, Furry Fleece, Bombay Jacket, and Arctic Parka II, to name a few. But don’t worry, TriClimate and other “hard core” outerwear from The North Face are still to be found. More colors. More styles. More choices.

Layering is perhaps the most important aspect for staying warm and dry and comfortable while on the slopes. Avie’s Ski / Sports carries Smartwool socks, base layer, and mid-layer selections to help you stay warm and dry. Proper base and mid-layer clothing will give you endless comfort regardless how hard you charge the slopes or how cold the weather.

And let’s not forget those all important feet nested in your boots. From ultra-thin socks to extra-padded, Avie’s Ski / Sports has you’re feet covered whether skiing or riding. Avie’s Ski / Sports also has hiking and “everyday” Smartwool socks for those unfortunate times when you can’t be out on the slopes having fun.

Avie’s Ski / Sports carries a large selection of gloves by The North Face, SWIX, Auclair, and Kombi. You will definitely find a pair that will give you the grip and flexibility you need to buckle, zip, and snap while keeping your hands toasty warm. Men’s, women’s and youth sizes are available in a variety of styles guaranteed to please and perform. Hand and foot warmers are available for those Arctic cold snaps so that you don’t suffer in order to have fun.

New this season are Kinco gloves. You see the lift operators, snow makers, and other mountain ops people wearing them. Durable and warm. Check them out when you stop by.

Kamik boots for men, women and youth are in stock to keep your feet warm, dry, and slip free going from car to lodge and back again. They are also willing to do double duty when you need to clear the driveway so you can get out and hit the slopes!

Rocket is great for the kids. Light, easy to get into, and easy to cinch down instead of tying and buckling.

Momentum 2 is stylishly appointed for women, with fur trim and bungee lacing for a fast, firm fit on your feet. Waterproof and insulated so that you need not worry about what the weather is doing or is going to do.

Alborg is the classic men’s winter boot. Warm, waterproof, weatherproof. There’s a reason this is a classic. Men also can check out NationPlus and NationWide boots. “Plus” means extra insulation for extra warmth. “Wide” has that, plus a bit of extra width in the footbed for those who need a bit of extra room for their foot, or want an extra pair of wool socks on their feet.
