I stopped off at Okemo on my way back south from Killington this morning for a half day on the slopes. I have to report that it was a perfect morning. Sunny, about 15°F but with little to no wind, so it was actually pleasant. The people were sparse, also pleasant, until about the time

I went up to Stratton today to see how things have been shaping up snow-wise. I found a mixed bag. But before jumping in, let me say that the folks at Stratton made great use of the recent cold. Given they’ve had too much warmth and too little snow, the results are impressive.
So we spread the good karma at Stratton, then a lucky 7 days later what happens? The slopes in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine get a nice snowfall of a half-foot or so. AND the temperature has dropped and is staying dropped so snow guns are blasting all over the slopes to add to the
