I made way up to Killington to meet with the good folks from Blizzard and Fischer, and try out some of the new skis on tap for the 2017 season. I went up to Stratton today to see how things have been shaping up snow-wise. I found a mixed bag. But before jumping in, let me say that the folks at Stratton made great use of the recent cold. Given they’ve had too much warmth and too little snow, the results are impressive. …more
So we spread the good karma at Stratton, then a lucky 7 days later what happens? The slopes in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine get a nice snowfall of a half-foot or so. AND the temperature has dropped and is staying dropped so snow guns are blasting all over the slopes to add to the real snow and get more terrain open.
